We have had two TelePresence Content Server boxes, as separate devices in TMS for quite a while now (TCS01 and TCS02)
Recently we've clustered the two TCS's. A day or so after doing this, the TCS02 device is showing up in TMS with an "Incorrect Authentication Information" error. TCS01 is fine.
Should we still be monitoing the two devices separately in TMS, or should we now be treating them as a single device (via the Cluster's DNS entry)? Or is there an issue with TCS02 that we need to attend to?

Hi Wayne ,
Try the below steps and let me know your feedback.
Here we have to enable and change the API password in the TCS management settings
set a new TCS password (which is used for adding the TCS to the TMS
server)
Log in to the TCS¹s web interface go to
Management > Configuration > Site settings > API
Make sure that API is enabled. Choose a new password and Save it.
The user and password in the API settings is the same username and password
which which to be used while adding the TCS to the TMS

I am not sure, I tried to look it up in the tcs and the tms docu but its not realy well described.
From how I would read it its just one time with the frontend address.

"If the Content Server is part of a cluster, ensure that the frontend address in Site settings is set to the network load balanced address for the cluster; otherwise, links to recordings that are generated by TMS might not work."
"Add the Content Server (or Content Server cluster) to TMS. For more information, read the TMS online help."
(though the tms help is not really a help :-)
If you do not get a better answer check with your cisco partner / rep or ask tac.

Shyam: could give an answer on the question what should be added to tms:
* each system individualy
* just the frontend address
* all systems AND the frontend address

Shyam's fix for the password solved the issue with the device showing in TMS.
Now the question is, as Martin asked, what should we actually be adding to TMS - the individual systems, or just the cluster's front end?

It depends on what is that to be achieved,
If you are planning to load balance then TCS has to be clustered and the FQDN to be added.
For TMS to provide an alias for recording , TCS can be added separately.
