TMS - change alias and extended setting for Conductor

Hello,

we are running TMS with Conductor and currently use a few 4-digit aliases.

These aliases have these settings:

Numeric ID Base:0

Numeric ID Step:1

Numeric ID Quantity:10

We plan to change to a 5-digit dial-plan and reduce to 1 or 2 Aliases. Anyone knows what is the impact on currently booked conferences when you change the Numeric ID Quantity in "Extended Settings" from 10 to 100. Will the existing conference dial-in numbers be changed ?

Regards

Jerome

Currently scheduled conferences in TMS will not be affected. as the changes you make to the aliases in TMS will only affect new conferences and not existing. However, it's important to note that you should leave the existing aliases in Conductor until all conferences that use them have completed. I did this myself not long ago, recommend you create separate aliases with your new pattern that has a higher priority in TMS and Conductor than that of the ones you want to phase out. Then when all of your existing conferences have completed that is using the old aliases, you can delete them.

A Conference Diagnostic tool has been added to the TMS a while ago that can be used to fix/verify conferences where there is a change to the dial plan. The TMS Admin guide contains details of this tool, including how/why/when to use it.
