TMSXE Secure deployment

Hi

I need to design a TMSXE deployment where the Exchange & AD are totally segregated from TMS.

Is it necessary for the TMS server to talk to AD or can I just connect the TMSXE agent from the data network to TMS on the video network using 443?

Alternatively, if you can't help with the above, anyone seen a TMSXE deployment guide? Can find one and I've looked all over the Cisco site.....

Thanks

Rohan

Hi Rohan

The TMS/exchange servers can be located whereever as long as the TMSXE have 443 access to the exchange and TMS server.

Thanks Magnus!

Soooo, after reading the admin guide (which I'd seen before) there's an arrow going from AD to the TMS server, but no other references to AD need to talk directly to TMS.

In tmsxe you only type in a webuser which have booking rights in tms. This could be an ad account or a local account. As far as i know the tms server does not need to be added to a domain. Tmsxe utilizes the tms booking api which the user in tmsxe needs access to. Anything specific you are worried/confused about?

Oh that sounds good, it was just the diagram in the guide which had an arrow pointing from the AD to TMS. TMS won't be on the domain or able to auth to AD, but if what your saying is correct its all good!
