Touch 10 Background w/CE9.2.1

Touch 10's connected to Cisco video codec systems running newer CE9.x firmware have a funky background where large color balls float in and around the Touch 10 display.

Is there a way to disable this feature?

You can upload a background brand image to replace the default animated halfwake background (moving colored balls), see "Branding and halfwake customization" in the CE9 Release Notes. the option to upload a background brand image to the endpoint is under Setup > Personalization.  Note, uploading a custom wallpaper will only affect what is seen on the monitor, not the Touch 10, branding is the only way to change the background and logo seen on the Touch 10.

Good Morning Patrick,

Thanks for your reply.  Is it possible to set the TV\display background to a custom image AND using the branding option to set a custom image to the Touch 10 as well?

When we briefly tested this it appeared that the halfwake background can be set to our custom image and displays on both the Touch 10 and TV\display, however, when woken up we lose the custom image pushed to the TV\display.  Looks like today it's an either or type scenario, not both.  Is this accurate?!

Does Cisco have plans to allow customization of the Touch 10, i.e. upload a background image, as well as being able to upload a background image to the TV\display - same image?

Thanks again, Stephan

If you use the "Branding", you can have a custom background on the screen in the half-awake state instead of the black/circles.  You can also put your custom logo on both the main screen and the touch.  The touch panel will show your custom wallpaper in the halfawake state.  In the fully awake state, only the logo will appear on both the main screen and touch, along with the standard look white screen with call/share buttons.  I've added a couple of screenshots showing how both of these look.

This is the current behaviour.  You won't hear anyone commenting on uncommitted road-map features here in a public forum.  Your best bet would be to speak with your local Cisco Account Team and see if they can facilitate an NDA discussion about any planned future features, or they will be able to assist you with logging a Feature Request for this functionality to be considered and possibly included in a future software release.
