In order to setup the SX20, it would depend on the type of call control you have, either CUCM or VCS.

For CUCM, refer to the Administering TelePresence Endpoints on CUCM Guides.

For VCS, you should have the following configured depending on if you're using H323 or SIP:

  • H323 Profile 1 Gatekeeper Address
  • H323 Profile 1 H323 AliasE164 (or H323 Profile 1 H323Alias ID)
  • SIP Profile 1 Proxy 1 Address
  • SIP Profile 1 URI

Refer to the SX20 Admin Guides for reference.

Hi, is gatekeeper address or proxy 1 address=VCS control IP?

where do we put VCS expressway IP in SX 20?

If you will be using the VCS as your call control and for H323 and SIP registrations, the Gatekeeper address and Proxy 1 address will be the VCS address. If your SX20 endpoint is on your internal network, your Gatekeeper/SIP proxy will be your VCS Control.

You will be only putting the VCS Expressway IP address as your Gatekeeper/SIP proxy on those external endpoints located outside your network that will register on it. For endpoints on your LAN/internal network, it should only register on VCS Control.
