Virtual TP Server - Ad Hoc only

Hi,

It's possible to create a Location with Ad hoc as Conference type only but it's then impossible to find this created Location into the Conference bridge pools and then associate it.

I need to select Both to see the Location appear in the choice of Conference bridge pools.

I know TP Server is not designed as a MCU, but it's the trend to make MCU go to TP Server.

Is it a normal behaviour ?

Hi Jean-Christophe,

This is from the online-help for the Bridge Pool page:

Location

Contains a list of all Locations of types Rendezvous and Both that have been configured on the TelePresence Conductor. A conference bridge pool needs to reference a Location so that out-dial calls can be sent via the appropriate SIP trunk.

Such calls could be initiated by

  • auto-dialed participants being configured on TelePresence Conductor.
  • Cisco TMS scheduling a conference with participants.
  • a user of conference control center in Cisco TMS adding a participant to an existing conference.

Use None if no outbound calls are to be sent via the call control device.

Change this field after you have created a Location, if there are no Locations in the list yet.

The default is None.

In this case, Ad-Hoc calls within the CUCM / Conductor deployment would not require this setting, as there will not be auto-dialed participant or TMS scheduling.

Thanks for clarification.

Change this field after you have created a Location  is the way to do it.
