what are the main differences between Webex Roomkit Plus and Webex Roomkit Pro . what makes Roomkit Pro suitable for Auditoriums .

The major diffrence is in the number of input/outputs. When it comes to hdmi  in/out rk+ has 3/2, rk pro has 6(5 hdmi, one sdi)/3. Audio rk+ has 3/1, rk pro has 8/3. 

you can take a rk+, add a hdmi matrix, a DSP and a control system. Add to that the cost of configuring and programming the separete components. We have opted for the pro in a auditorium just to reduce the number of components.

What is best for one application depends on what is required.

as mentioned Room Kit Pro has more I/O to play with compared to the Room Kit Plus.

Therefore if this is a new setup, consider this as a factor if you are planning to use the Codec native features. If you planning to still get a separate A/V system and don't require the additional IO of the Rom Kit Pro then you are fine with just the Room Kit Plus.

The native features on the room kit pro CE9 software aren't that great and some may opt to use video production system instead for IO and greater control which make it overkill to use a Room Kit Pro in this instance.

But if you have basic requirements but want the capability to use that much IO without paying for additional video production system, the room kit pro will do it's job.
