Webex room: WebRTC media through http proxy

I am enabling WebRTC calls to MS Teams meetings on my company Webex Room: OBTP appears on the endpoint, the call set up (I see the endpoint name in the teams app) but the media does not flow because the endpoint sends the media directly to Internet address.

My company security rules forbid the direct connection to Internet, but only through http proxy.

I am wondering if it is possible to send also the WebRTC media through the http proxy.

Regards, PC

Read slide 21. https://www.ciscolive.com/c/dam/r/ciscolive/emea/docs/2019/pdf/BRKCOL-2930.pdf a) its already encrypted b) you will keel over your proxy over with UDP media .  Reeducate your security guys that this is not a good idea.

Hi Ashish,

thank you for the kind answer and I agree that the UDP media through the proxy is a poor idea.

Instead as I see in the 21st slide the media should be addressed to the TURN server using STUN protocol.

We have room kit registered in SIP to Expressway-C and registered in Webex Edge for Devices.

The Workplace is associated to the hybrid calendar and I'm studying how to participate to MS teams meeting using WebRTC

We have already Expressway-E with TURN licenses and Internet connection (no http proxy!)

What I have to configure in order to have WebRTC media flowing through Expressway-E with STUN/TURN?

Sincerely, PC
