Adding TCS to Active Directory Domain

Is there any problem in adding Cisco TCS to the windows active directory domain.  It is currently added to the workgroup.  Thanks.

No - they are just Windows servers, so no - we have always had our three in AD and have never seen or experienced any problems relating to that.

If anything, there's more of a benefit to have it in AD as users can log in using their normal AD credentials.

Adding the TCS to an AD domain is a requirement if you want to setup external storage for media or to enable clustering, if you're not doing either of those two items mentioned, you don't have to add the TCS to AD unless you want to. However, adding it to the domain helps with management of the server, refer to the "Sercuring the Content Server" section of the TCS S7.1 Admin Guide.

When adding the TCS (or any other Windows based server that performs a specific function) you should ensure that any Group Policies that are enabled in Active Directory won't interfere with the server's operations.
