Hi Everyone,
We are currently exploring the option of replacing the PBX system in one of our locations with a CME/Unity package. I know this is most likely an easy answer but do we need to have a PRI installed into the a 2800 series router.
The reason I am asking is because I don't think T1 services are available in the location we are planning to deploy this. What I was thinking was to use 6 analog lines (4 for voice, 1 for fax, 1 for security system).
Is this possible.
Thanks.

Just make sure the router has enough slots to support the VWIC cards need for the 6 lines.

You do not need to have a PRI for this to work. You can get an NM or EVM module that supports FXS and one that supports FXO ports.
You would connect your Fax in the office to the FXS port and the lines coming from the CO to the FXO. Most likely you would keep the security system off the router as an isolated line.
