¿Cómo realizar Backup de Quick Set C20?

Hola a todos.

¿De qué manera puedo generar un backup de la configuración completa del terminal Cisco Quick Set C20?

Debo crear un manual para que 'Personas no Técnicas' realicen los backup de decenas de equipos.

Yo puedo hacerlo utilizando Putty, conectándome por Telnet y con el comando xconfiguration obtengo lo que necesito.

Puedo extraer los archivos .xml pero no sé de qué manera puedo hacer un 'Import' de estos archivos.

¿De qué manera puedo generar un backup, de una forma SUPER simple, de la configuración completa del terminal Cisco Quick Set C20?

Necesito respuestas pensadas en las versiones 4.1.0, 4.2.2 y 5.1.3

Hello,

from the limited Spanish I can read I assume you want to make a backup of a Quickset C20. I am running TC6.0.0 beta release which has a backup/restore tab in the GUI. Can you check your release and see whether you have such a tab ?

It is under Maintenance -> Backup and Restore.

I am using TC5.1.4.295090 and do not have the backup and restore options.

I wonder why not "298/298"?

I tested C20 and SX20(both of them are release version TC6.0.0) and result is same.

This is the only cosmetic issue or restore was not completed?

Hi Danny,

Thank you for it.

I confirmed that AllowWebSnapshots isn't restored by WebUI because it must be configured from Touch, OSD or Serial console.

I'll follow about fixing this issue by checking CSCue65698.

Hi Jorge.

You can backup the system by using putty and typing xconfiguration - you will then get the system config.

You will get output like this:

*c xConfiguration ISDN SendNumber: On

*c xConfiguration ISDN ParallelDial: On

*c xConfiguration ISDN HLC: Off

*c xConfiguration ISDN SpeechTimers: On

*c xConfiguration ISDN MSN: Off

*c xConfiguration ISDN SubAddress: ""

You have to remove the " *c " in order to  be able to copy the configuration back on the system. You can use notepad for this:

xConfiguration ISDN SendNumber: On

xConfiguration ISDN ParallelDial: On

xConfiguration ISDN HLC: Off

xConfiguration ISDN SpeechTimers: On

xConfiguration ISDN MSN: Off

xConfiguration ISDN SubAddress: ""

Just copy this into putty to apply your backup configuration.

Usted tiene que quitar el "* c" con el fin de ser capaz de copiar la configuración nuevamente en el sistema. Usted puede utilizar Bloc de notas para esto:

xConfiguration ISDN SendNumber: On

xConfiguration ISDN ParallelDial: On

xConfiguration ISDN HLC: Off

xConfiguration ISDN SpeechTimers: On

xConfiguration ISDN MSN: Off

xConfiguration ISDN SubAddress: ""

Sólo tienes que copiar esto en masilla para aplicar la configuración de copia de seguridad.

I have to write a guide to non technician peolple who don't know how to use Putty.

This is a new feature for the new TC6 software, I do not have a release date for it.

So in the current available versions, the guide above is the way to do it.

Hola Jorge,

puedes acceder por SCP a los equipos y hacer una copia del fichero config.db (/mnt/base/active/config.db)

Puedes descargar el WinSCP (gratis) si usas windows, para conectar al equipo (puerto 22 con usuario root).

Para hacer el restore, basta subir este fichero al mismo equipo con la misma versión.

OJO: si vas a hacer la copia de seguridad de mas de uno, todos tendrán el mismo nombre y deberá organizarlos por carpetas, indicando el equipo y la versión. No debes subir el fichero config.db de una versión distinta a la en uso.

También no estarán incluídos los certificados, que deberán se copiados por separado.

*El TMS también haría las copias de seguridad de una manera muy sencilla y es lo mas recomendable.

la próxima vez que tenga un CIsco C20 en el laboratorio intentaré lo que dices para estar seguro que ese archivo contiene toda la información.

Fix for BUG # CSCue65698 is available in TC 6.1 software release and can be downloaded from

I confirmed the bug is fixed in TC6.1.0 with my C20.

AllowWebSnapshots is removed from configuration.tsh.
