C40 Codec Dual Display Setup

Hi,

I have a C40 codec running TC5.1.4.295090 with the dual display option.

I have two displays connected. Whatever settings I try the presentation is displayed on both screens rather than just on screen 2 as desired.

Can anyone suggest how this can be fixed?

Thanks

It seem that if not in a call the presentation is sent to both screens but if in a call the presentation just goes to screen 2 with the video in screen 1.

Hi James!

Unless somebody comes up with some better answer, maybe this can give you some additional ideas.

I think to show the presentation on all if not in a call is a default, not aware if its possible to change that,

maybe with the tc-console, but thats anyhow only for C60/C90

Besides that there are two parameters which change the behavior of the monitors:

xConfiguration Video Monitors and xConfiguration Video Output HDMI [1]/DVI [2] MonitorRole

xConfiguration Video Monitors

Set the monitor layout mode.

Requires user role: ADMIN

Value space:

Single: The same layout is shown on all monitors.

Dual: The layout is distributed on two monitors.

DualPresentationOnly: All participants in the call will be shown on the first monitr, while the presentation (if any) will be shown on the second monitor.

Example: xConfiguration Video Monitors: Single

xConfiguration Video Output HDMI [1] MonitorRole

The HDMI monitor role describes what video stream will be shown on the monitor connected to the video output HDMI connector. Applicable only if the "Video > Monitors" configuration is set to dual.

Requires user role: ADMIN

Value space:
First: Show main video stream.
Second: Show presentation video stream if active, or other participants. PresentationOnly: Show presentation video stream if active, and nothing else.

Example: xConfiguration Video Output HDMI 1 MonitorRole: First

Hi,

for that you dont need the Dual Display Option. That is a standard funktion:

Value space:

Single: The same layout is shown on all monitors.

Dual: The layout is distributed on two monitors.

DualPresentationOnly: All participants in the call will be shown on  the first monitr, while the presentation (if any) will be shown on the  second monitor.

Example: xConfiguration Video Monitors: Single

It works without the dual display option key

Hi,

TC console can be used with C40 also.  Just that with a C40, you are not able to create customised layout.  But you can choose/change the default layout you want from the existing and choose which layout to be/not to be displayed .

regards,

That is correct - and this is normal behaviour - and not only for the C-series.
