Dear Experts,
I am trying to upgrade c60 from version 6.3 to version 7.3.2
after the upgrade i have the following error " missing release key for TC 7.3"
I have valid service contract, I have applied the release key without success.
Any idea why is it happening ? how to solve it ?
Thanks in advance
Anas

Spot on! Current version is TCNC6.3, so you need to download and install s52001tcnc7_3_2.pkg. You'll get it on that page, last one in the list:

Hi Anas Abu Eiden
You must go to www.cisco.com/go/licensing
Get other License> TelePresence Software Release key >
And create new Release Key for your C60 for TC7 version.

Could you send us a screenshot from the SW upgrade page? One similar to that one: https://supportforums.cisco.com/sites/default/files/attachments/discussion/msk-novosib-d12_error_pic2.jpg

From TC6.1, you don't need additional release keys. Make sure you have loaded the version that matches encryption policy in your country, ie TC vs TCNC versions

Hi,
thanks for your reply
what is the difference between TC and TNC versions?
Regards
Anas

They're the same, but TCNC (no crypto) version is used where encryption is banned. That means no SSH, no HTTPS and no SIP over TLS.
You can't switch versions without getting a new key from Cisco.

Its not necessary that encryption is banned in a specific country, its also where the export
of the used encryption methods to this country is not allowed and there might be even
differences in between the usage (governmental / civilian / ...)
http://www.cisco.com/web/about/doing_business/legal/global_export_trade/general_export/contract_compliance.html
You can switch in between versions, but not use the one where you do not have the proper release key.
So you can switch (on the system) from the wrong installed one to the correct one.
I would do a factory default reset after you did that.
If you believe that this system shall get a release key for the encrypted TC version, please
ask your Cisco Partner or Cisco.
