CAMERA DETECTION ISSUE WITH NEW SX80

Chet Cronin

Level 4

Running firmware CE9.8.3

New SX80 installed.   Camera video is good, no issues.

Problem is camera control.   Verified Camera Control Cable good but still get the warning.

Have performed Factory Reset on system.

Have upgraded system from CE9.7.1 to CE9.8.1 which by the way a second SX80 is up running good.

Than upgraded the current SX80 to CE9.8.3 and still get the warning ???

Any Assist / guidance is appreciated.

You mention the "camera control cable" - what camera are we talking about here? A P60 camera uses Ethernet, not serial/Visca control cable. Also - is your HDMI connection going through an extender or just a straight cable? A screenshot of your peripherals (from the SX80 web GUI) should help.

Are you changing the MTU?  Check the MTU setting and see what it is.

Thanks,

Hi Chet,

Is the message related to some upgrades of Camera ?

try removing the HDMI cables from Camera and then , connect. Perform the upgrade again with ce9.8.3 and then, check.
