Camera Detection

I have a couple Cisco Spark Room Kit Plus units that I have hooked up. When using them they show on the Touch 10, no cameras found. Make sure the control cable between the camera and the system is connected. To activate the IR sensor on the system.

The camera is connected as I can see my image on the screen and the control cable in connected as it lights up on both the media bar and the codec and there is a white light illuminating on the front of the media bar. Why is this displaying? Why can not I control the camera from the touch 10? Why is not the camera speaker tracking?

Any help is appreciated.

Only work with CUCM? how about standalone?

This bug covers all CE based products and it appears independent of CUCM and or TMS, I believe the issue is just with CE9.2.x upgrades, period.

Yeh I wouldn't trust those bug details, they are whack.

1. Cisco list that this can be fixed by upgrading, that is not correct.

2. I have tested the latest CE with Spark Kit and it works. The camera issue only occurs with Spark Kit Plus.

Michael,
That would be correct, the bug only affects cameras that are connected as peripherals, where as the SRK has a built in camera.

We also do not see the issue on SX80s on the latest CE code either.

I would like to add that I have seen this issue on SX80 endpoints.

Last night we rolled a pilot phase of CE 9.2.1 and 2 of our rooms had"No Camera Detection" errors

We also noticed that some of our DX80's were giving us:

 WARNING: Certificate Expiry

A certificate has expired 17591 days ago. Please, update

Is CE 9.1.5 the software that resolves these issues?

We used .pkg files by uploading in the phone load via CUCM.

To resolve the Certificate issue see the instructions I posted in the forum.

Cheers,

Michael

Hi there,
To fix the camera issue you need to reference .loads instead of .pkg
For example upgrade your device but use the firmware .loads file which contains the camera firmware. I only noticed the issue in Spark Kit Plus for the camera detection in my environment.

Hi @Michael Stark,

I've downgraded back down to CE 8.2.2, but I am still having the camera issue. Will the .loads file for CE 8.2.x resolve the camera issue?

Could you provide a link to where I can download the file?

Thank you,

Brandon

.loads file is for Spark devices only.

I used CUCM to update the certificates on the endpoint, this is to get rid of that annoying certificate error.

You can also upload a new certificate manually under the "Service Certificates" page, I have never done that myself but the option is there.

Hi Michael, I'm seeing the same issue with the Certificate expiry on a Spark Room 55.

Do you mind providing the steps you used to push a new cert from CM for the endpoint.  Thanks

To fix it I login to CUCM

1. Go to the device in question and under the section "Certification Authority Proxy Function (CAPF) Information" I have to select "Install/Upgrade"

2. Then select a date and time in the future.

3. Then click Save and Apply Config

When it works you should notice the "Install/Upgrade" is no longer enabled and it will say "Certificate Operation Status: Upgrade Success".

Then browse to your VC system and select Security > Service Certificates and make sure the Locally Significant Certificate (LSC) is selected for HTTPS, SIP, and 802.1X

Please tell me if that works.

Yep, that worked. Thanks!

Also, Cisco TAC said they plan to fix this in an upcoming release of code:
