CE Software upgrade path

Hello!

Working in an environment with a mix of SX series endpoints and Webex series endpoints.

We're trying to get everything to CE9.15.x.x, but our technicians have said they've been having issues when upgrading directly to it.

Is there a listing for upgrade paths for CE software?

What’s your existing version? From what version are you trying to upgrade.

Multiple versions ranging from CE9.2 to CE 9.10.3.

It depends on how you are performing the upgrade.   If you are doing it via the web interface, there is a file size limitation of 1Gb in the older CE releases, so you will need to upgrade in steps for early versions via one of the newer releases that is within the size limitation.  This only applies to the Webex endpoints when using the .cop.sgn file (if via the web interface) as this is the only one that is too large.

If you are upgrading via other means, then a direct upgrade to the latest release should be fine.  Make sure if you're using TMS for your deployment you use advanced mode and specify the .loads file instead of the .pkg file as you would for the older endpoints (and double check the software file that is auto-selected as it is often incorrect when doing it this way).
