Cisco 7975 XML user interface

Hi,

I have a CTS 500 intergrating with CUCM 6.1.2. I cannot use the MIDlets user interface on my 7975 phone since MIDlets can only be used for CUCM verison 7.0.2 and above. This is what i got from all the documention. So i have to resort to use the XML user interface on my Cisco 7975. But i did not manage to find any document on how to do it. Appriciate any help on how to configure the XML user interface for the 7975 ip phone.

Thanks,

Subash

Hi Subash:

Under the External Data Locations section for the IP phone attached to your codec, enter the below for the following parameters:

Authentication Server:

http://codecIPaddress:8080/authenticate.html

Services:

http://codecIPaddress:8080/services.html

Idle:

http://codecIPaddress:8080/idle.html

Idle Timer (seconds) 1

Ensure you have no midlet configured/subscribed to the IP phone on the CUCM; also ensure your CTS 500 isn't running 1.7, as midlets are required for CTS 1.7.  You will most likely need to reboot both the IP phone and codec from CUCM once you've configured the above.

Thanks. It works now. Any idea what are the favorites feature use for, and how to use it.

The Favorites button can be configured to assign up to 40 speed dial numbers.  This is configured per codec in CUCM.
