Cisco C-Series Top Bar Overlay in Presentation Mode

When in Presentation Mode, the C-Series codec will display a status bar overlay (IP address, Cisco logo, Time etc.).

Unfortunately, this can be distracting or worse, can cover parts of the presentation for local viewers.

Is there any way to remove this bar?

Eric,

This was resolved in a later version of TC5.x, see below for details.

CSCtx15428 : Top bar is always visible, even in full screen and in calls

Symptom:
Banner with Cisco logo and clock widget appears on display when in a call.
Conditions:
Running TC software prior to TC 5.0 and a connected device on HDMI loses connection and is re-connected.
Workaround:
Perform a factory reset of the unit.
Alternative procedure via GUI :
1) login to the web interface of the codec.
2) go to Advanced Configuration>>Output>>HDMI>>OverscanLevel
3) change the overscanlevel to High and save . The video will shrink to the
middle of the screen.
4) change the overscanlevel to None as it was before and save. The video will
come back to normal.
The widgets and the Cisco header should have disappeared.

I've only seen that a few times, but I can't think of what was the cause, if I remember what it was or to make it disappear I'll let you know.  Default, it shouldn't appear, should hide itself when in presentation mode.

Thank you kindly!

Looks like the only permanent answer is to upgrade the affected endpoints.

Cheers,

Eric
