Cisco C90 retrofit from Cisco T3

Hi everyone!

I had an old but working immersive system Cisco T3. There were three c90 codecs inside. Is it possible to use one of them as a standalone solution(with dedicated software upgrade) or they work as entire system only? The part number of the codec is CTS-C90CODEC-K9. TTC6-09

The answer is yes, but as far as I remember you need a new release key that will also change the product ID once applied. You can try to contact the TAC but I'm not sure they will help...

But would it be possible to do it without release key?

Like this way:
1. Factory reset via console connection
2. Upload correct TC version

Release and option keys survive a factory reset, so it won't help. But you can try to remove the option keys with this API command (better if you have them written somewhere before proceeding):

xcommand systemunit optionkey removeall
