All depends if the type of endpoints you are using. The SX series can be registered with TMS expressway, Pexip etc. You can register any number of devices as long as you have the licensing.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

On-premises video conferencing, you require a minimum of the following components

1. Cisco Meeting Server (CMS): Conferencing Resource / Bridge

2. Cisco Meeting Management Server (CMM) (CMS management/ Meeting management)

3. Expressway E and C pair  (For traversal. External Access, TURN Server)

4. Jabber/video endpoint [SX/DX/WebEx] (Optional).

5. You can have Web based (WebRTC) call if you have a camera-enabled laptop.

assumption: Call manager cluster in place.

you will find many resources in this forum or the cisco website for further details.

you can also use the SX endpoint as a standalone video device to make h323 calls.

Regards,

Might want to reach out to a local Cisco partner WITH voice specializations or a reputable consultant for assistance with this. You're comparing products which do very different things, you'd also need to consider your current infrastructure as well as who would be joining those meetings (internal/external), the amount of participants, etc.

Based on the requirement it has to be designed properly. its better to reach out a partner who is good in collaboration. If you are a partner you can contact GVE for making the BOQ(I think its possible only for T1 partners now).

Go through below Cisco Validated Design (CVD).

This Cisco Validated Design (CVD) guide provides detailed design recommendations and implementation procedures for deploying the on-premises Preferred Architecture for Enterprise Collaboration System Release (CSR) 12.x.
