Cisco PrecisionHD 1080p Kamera 12x

Dear Community,

I guess this camera is connected to an MXP 6000 Codec and it is possible with the remote control to move the camera.

But a black picture is delivered. Do you think the camera is defect and out of this i should create a TAC?

kind regards

christian

You should use the 720p precisionHD camera with the 6000MXP codec. With this, the video and control from the camera is "pass" to the codec via the "proprietary RJ45-9 pin cable".

But if you connects the 1080p 12x camera to the codec and connects only the RJ45-9 pin cable to the MXP codec, you will not get video cause the 12x camera RJ45 port only consist of control signaling and not video. The video of the 12x camera comes from the HDMI port.

Set the camera to 720p60 via the dipswitches and connect the HDMI from the camera to the DVI input of the codec.  You will lose content capability, but this will work up to call resolutions of w448p.
