Cisco TCS v5.3 Multicast Streaming issue

Hello - I have deployed Cisco TCS at one of my client's place and have issues with Multicast streaming. Streaming the multicast stream from within the server itself has low frame rate issues and when streamed from a client pc, notice high packet loss and low frame rate issues. Upon checking the network, we find there are no packet drops on the routers/switches etc. Any inputs to troubleshoot the issue would be highly appreciated.

On another note i tried to generate a multicast log file using wmsiislog.dll utility provided by microsoft. Iis.log file reveals that my client has accessed the wmsiislog.dll, but for some reason or the other, the log files don't seem to get generated within the wmsisapi folder.

Any inputs would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

SG

I could finally have wmsiislog.dll file generate logs and found that there are network packet loss experienced by wmp clients. Interestingly i also find the client, installed witin the tcs server, report buffering issues.

Any input in this regard would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

More Troubleshooting updates

We performed simple network testing on the switch that connects both the TCS Server and the WMP client running on the same VLAN and notice packet drops on the WMP client interface but nothing on the Switch ports.

There has been some references on the relationship of the Switch Interface's Total Buffer Size and Multicast Streaming application and that it should NOT be more that 1.5 Mbps. Lesser the buffer Size, greater the Streaming Experience. Although my client's Total buffer Size are of 5.5MB, I don't see any form of buffering occuring on the interfaces either.

On the Server Side there are fps dips even when streaming from a WMP client right from within the Server. We are currently doing testing on the Server side to negate any hardware issues.

Any inputs would be highly appreciated.
