Hello,

I am managing alot of VCS's (Version x8.8.2) and quite a few of them have the following messages in the event log:

2016-09-28T22:36:27.879-04:00 management: Level="INFO" Detail="NetworkLimits processing" Command="status" Category="all" Limits="None" UTCTime="2016-09-29 02:36:27,879"

The above message seems to appear every minute and is sometimes followed by the following:

2016-09-28T22:31:49.464-04:00 management: Level="INFO" Detail="NetworkLimits processing" Command="refresh" Category="zones" Limits="LimitData(connection_rate=25, connection_burst=8, traffic_percent=50, traffic_burst=20)" UTCTime="2016-09-29 02:31:49,463"

management: Level="INFO" Detail="NetworkLimits processing" Command="status" Category="all" Limits="None" UTCTime="2016-09-29 02:27:55,668"

Would anybody know what this message means? I don't have any specific alarms active and starting to get concerned since I see it on a few of my VCS's.

Thank you all for your assistance

These alarms are INFO Level, which are informationl..

NetworkLimits is the experimental rate limiting feature.

You can disable NetworkLimits with below command
xconfiguration NetworkLimits Configuration Mode: "off"

Hello Mohammed

I did your procedure and it doesn't seem to have changed anything. I can see in the logs that my modification was applied, yet I still see those INFO messages.

From what I can gather from the logs, it seems to have disabled these messages for IPV4 but it is still on for IPV6 (which I don't use).

Would you know how to disable for IPV6 as well so we can get rid of these INFO messages completely?

Thanks

Is there a particular reason you don't want to see these messages, as they're simply INFO messages, there is nothing to be concerned about and can be ignored as they're just for informational purposes.

Hello Patrick,

It's mainly because it becomes difficult to read thru the event logs with all these INFO appearing every minute. Also, doesn't it generate extra logs for no reason? doesn't that take away on some "processing power" for the VCS having to deal with these every minute?

Have you been able to resolve your issue? I have exactly the same problem. These INFO message are all over the place in my event logs, which means that I can't go back in as far as I used to be...

Hi Clode. No I haven't been able to disable the messages and kinda had to live with it as there doesn't seem to be any way to block them completely.... Another great useless feature.

More than a year since the last response, we are experiencing the same issue on VCS X8.10.4. VM.

Anyone able to fix this?

I'm having this same issue, does anyone know of a fix?

There is something bigger going on here. I would suggest that you start a new conversation on this board, and post more of your event long rather than just the error message so we can see more of what is going on.
