Codec Cisco Video Conference MX Series

Hi All

I must solve codec audio problems between endpoints and save on transcoding resources between audio conference calls. I can recommend the use of Codec 64kbps (g711) for the option of Maximum audio bit rate in each region, for the MX series endpoints?

TIA
Cristian

Yes that's fine, note that MX endpoints may negotiate g7.22 and/or AACLD between each other at 64kbps, but if they are in a call with another endpoint that only supports g7.11, they will negotiate to use g7.11 with no need for transcoding resources.

For testing and troubleshooting purposes you can set a CapsetFilter to disable different audio (and video) codecs:

Have a look at "How to Disable audio/video/data Protocols on the C-series, EX-series and E20 Endpoints" which is still relevant on the newer endpoints.
