Codian MSE 8000 - Quality of Shared Content

In comparing calls that are traditionally connected using an endpoint's multisite option versus calls that are connected utilizing a Codian MSE 8000, it is noticeable that shared PC content is much clearer and sharper via the traditional means and surprisingly less clear and blurrier when sharing PC content in a conference hosted on the MSE 8000.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, were you able to resolve it? Am I missing a setting somewhere?

Which model of MSE 8000 blade are you using here? Which software version is it running? Also, what sort of endpoints are you using here?

It would be worth taking a look at the statistics pages both of the endpoint and the MCU to see what codec and resolution are being used for the h.239 channel - that will probably explain the difference in quality if they're different.

8510 Media2 Blade - latest firmware available - we are using all different types of codecs (MXP, E20's, C-series, and Movi)

it just seems like they recreated the wheel with how content is shared with the only possible benefit being to Movi users - not only does the PC content not look even comparatively close to a standard call's shared content, it doesn't even maximize to the full screen (even when switching to a single screen layout)

I was able to resolve this - it looks like it was a single setting configured incorrectly.

'Display content in normal video channel' should have been set to disabled instead of enabled.
