CTS Manager & 2008 R2 Domain Controller?

Hi,

CTS Manager 1.6 documentation clearly states that 2008 R2 as a domain controller is not supported, but what about CTS Manager 1.7? I tried to find that information from documentation, but didn't find clear statement about supported/not supported.

Additionally, if we change domain controller to 2008 R2 but stick with CTS Man 1.6, what really stops working? I need to know, because our IT department is pushing 2008 R2 upgrade, but we have not made decision to upgrade TP installation to 1.7 in near future.

What are reasons to say that CTS Man 1.6 does not support 2008 R2 Domain Controller ???

Hello Mikko,

Support for Windows 2008 R2 domain controller is currently roadmapped for the next 1.x release - currently slated for 1.8.  For 1.7 it has not been officially tested so it is not officially supported.

As you indicated, Cisco has noted in the admin guide for 1.6 that it is not supported. Documented were errors when running the prequalifcation tool as well as noting the support matrix from Microsoft which also has its own requirements for Exchange version compatabilities:
