CUCM 8.6.2.22900-9 license calculation for CTS endpoints

Can someone explian the licensing of CUCM 8.6.2. How many DLU does CTS 3010,3210,1300,1100,500,EX90,Profile 55,TX9000 use. It quite confusing as the release notes say that it is calculated based on the screen's. When I was trying to order the license Cisco said all CTS endpoints use 11 DLU which includes the IP phone. I need to order more license and I am lost. Please help me here.

Thank you.

Hi Nizamuddin,

Here are the details for Licenses -

TX9000/TX9200- "Multi Screen Licenses- US$1100"

CTS 3010- "Multi Screen Licenses- US$1100"

CTS 3210- "Multi Screen Licenses- US$1100"

TX 1300- "Single Screen Licenses- US$650"

CTS 1000- "SingleScreen Licenses- US$650"

CTS 500- "SingleScreen Licenses- US$650"

EX60/EX90- "Desktop Video Licenses- US$295"

Profile 55- "SingleScreen Licenses- US$650"

Do not go for DLUs, rather go for UCL  licenses.

Use the below TOP LEVEL part code to configure in ICT/DCT/CCW,

"L-CUCM-USR-LIC-ADD"

Thanks,

Manish Gupta

Thank you Manish. We already have the license file with us. In the license file

VENDOR_STRING=100. What does this mean ? It is that Cisco referring to DLU?

I Think, Yes.

Thanks,

Manish Gupta

Any idea...how this DLU get used by each of the CTS endpoints?

Hi Syed,

You can use the License Count Utility which would help u in finding the number of Essential UCL/Basic UCL /Enhanced UCL and CUWL standard and Professional users.

Cisco 6945, Cisco 6961, Cisco 79xx, Cisco 89xx, Cisco 99xx,

Cisco E20, Cisco TelePresence EX60, Cisco TelePresence EX90,

third party SIP).
