Hi

Is there a way to downgrade to a software earlier than TC5.1.4? I´ve tried it and it works, but the camera (Precision HD 4xS2) doesn´t send a videostream anymore. So it seam I would have to downgrade the Camera-FW too.

any suggestions?

thanks

Tino

Hello,

a downgrade of codec from TC5.1.4 to earlier version should not affect camera firmware. The codec checks camera firmware. If the camera package is less than the current camera software, the camera will remain at its most recent firmware level. I.e. downgrade of codec will leave camera at the most recent level which was the camera package bundled with TC5.1.4 in your case.

So, why does the camera no longer work?

I would check xstatus camera where is the camera number from 1 to N in the admin shell or via your GUI.

xstatus camera 1

*s Camera 1 Connected: True

*s Camera 1 HardwareID: "52000000"

*s Camera 1 Manufacturer: "TANDBERG"

*s Camera 1 Model: "PrecisionHD 1080p 4X"

*s Camera 1 SoftwareID: "S01752-2.0FINAL [ID:20012] 2012-08-29"

*s Camera 1 SerialNumber: "A1AT07E00477"

*s Camera 1 IpAddress: ""

*s Camera 1 MacAddress: ""

*s Camera 1 Position Pan: 64

*s Camera 1 Position Tilt: 64

*s Camera 1 Position Zoom: 4096

*s Camera 1 Position Focus: 133

*s Camera 1 Capabilities Options: "ptzf"

*s Camera 1 Flip: "Off"

** end

Also check the camera input, e.g, when camera is connected to HDMI1:

OK

xcommand Standby Deactivate

*r DeactivateResult (status=OK):

** end

OK

xstatus Video Input HDMI 1

*s Video Input HDMI 1 Connected: True

*s Video Input HDMI 1 SignalState: OK

** end

OK

Are you sure the camera is an Precision HD 4xS2 ? We have a Field Notice for 4XS1 cameras.

Just stumbled over this document:

http://ftp.tandberg.com/pub/software/endpoints/tc/tc5xx_deferral_notice.pdf

which also explicitly states that the camera software will not be downgraded on a endpoint downgrade.

How do you define "stream", IP or also the selfview?

Did you try turning of the codec, disconnecting and reconnecting the cables and then start it up again?

Sometimes its just a loose cable, ...

Please remember to rate helpful responses and identify

tried the downgrade again and now it works :-)

Thank you!

Hi,

You can also connect camera to Diaplay to check video from camera , If issue is related to codec then it will isolate .

Kind regards,

Dharmmesh
