Endpoints can not connect to Cisco Meeting Server

Hi guys,

I have a problem relate the connectivity to Cisco Meeting Server.

CMS has network 192.168.100.x/24

Endpoints (Cisco, Polycom, Sony, ....) have network 172.16.254.x/24

I routed between 2 networks.

When Endpoints connect to CMS, they only have Sound, they dont have Video.

But Customer use the Polycom Virtual machine MCU with same Network, they are working well.

I dont know what happened in here!

Pls help me!

Hello,

You can collect the SIP debug logs from CMS and endpoints and can check the signalling whether it is proper or not.

As you says it seems to be network issue, you can tale pcap from CMS callbridge and endpoints and with the port numbers you can verify whether CMS is sending the video packets or not and if it is sending whether endpoint is receiving it or not.

If CMS is sending and endpoint is not receiving that means you need to focus on other network infra (firewall etc..) to see where the packets are getting dropped?

Thanks.

We need some more information on your setup and how you are making the calls.

Are the calls SIP or H.323?

Where are the endpoints registered?  VCS/CUCM/Polycom/Standalone/etc?

Does the call control platform support video calls between the networks?

Is there a firewall in between the networks that is blocking some of the required ports?
