The equipment was already sent to factory values and updated.

We need more information to help, you don't give an explantion or description of the issue, for what I can guess is the SX20 fails to boot up with the HDMI cable connected and as a result shows the red power button.

Which HDMI cable do you have to disconnect for the SX20 to start working, camera input or monitor output?

What is the HDMI cable connected to?
