Error - Touch Panel 10 Keeps Shutting Down Abruptly - Connected to Codec SX80

I have repeatedly encountered the problem were by the Touch Panel 10 connected to the SX80 keeps becoming unresponsive and the screen going completely black. The "workaround" is has been to reinsert the Ethernet cable with which it receives its power which somehow brings it back to functionality for some time.

The Precision 60 Camera also happens to be meeting mode and doesn't turn to the side despite no call taking place.

The LED of the Ethernet blinks Green when the issue occurs.

The action was taken so far: a successful upgrade was performed to Version 9.8.1 up from a firmware version which was deferred by Cisco. However, this upgrade seemed not to have helped.

Log status shows that the device is connected with the Touch Panel and the Precision 60 Camera with correct network settings.

The device has worked well previously but recently began to abruptly malfunction.

Advice appreciated. Many thanks.

First thing I would start with would be replacing all the Ethernet cables.   They are known to get issues with movement by users all the time, getting bent at silly angles, caught on furniture and stretched, etc.

Hi Wayne,

Weirdly enough, the Codex SX80 went back to the old firmware. Right after the upgrade, I collected new logs to verify the upgrade which was OK - it was. Why would it go back to the previous firmware?

I will attempt to change the cable.

Regards,
