After the EX90 has been on for a while, the screen will popup a message saying "System Message: IP Address" then it lists the ip address of the machine. On the handheld screen it will it will say "Connecting" with a spinning loading circle around it. At this point I am no longer able to use the web portal as it gives me a message saying "Unhandled Excepting: An unhandled exception has been thrown by the application." I can turn it off then back on and it works fine again, but then it will come up with the system message again after a bit. Are there any fixes for this?

The problem is linked to crash on Heartbeat : System_VPE0 not responding

Danny was fast. It's linked to CSCub85220 - HEARTBEAT failure : SYSTEM_VPE1 not responding

If there's no PC/MAC connected, then the VPE hearbeat issue here is probably different.
The i2c error messages are not OK. Let me discuss with engineering...

VPE0 on EX90 connect HDM1 input and output. You have nothing connected the HDMI input nor output???
These I2C errors are perhaps hardware related issue. Need to contact engineering about this still.

I was advised to submit a new ddts against TC5.1.5 release.
Opened CSCud56684 entitled "EX90 HEARTBEAT: SYSTEM_VPE0 not responding".
This is different issue than the ddts I mentioned before.
Danny.

Any updates on this?
12-10-2012 07:13 AM
Hello,
I did not get any update on this from engineering. Unsure whether this is hardware or software bug. Have a meeting with engineering tomorrow. Will bring up this defect again to get an update.
Danny.

Okay. Thank you!

Hello,
I got an update from engineering telling me this is likely a hardware error. We have not seen any other EX90s showing this error in the field. Your unit has S/N A1AR07E00915. Is built in week 7 of 2012. Recent unit. You need to open a Service Request and get the unit RMA-ed. Is this recently purchased unit which you just installed? Then ask engineer who will be assigned to your SR to do a DOA/RMA to get new unit.
Regards,
Danny.

Thank you. I will open a Service Request.

I'm having the exact same issue. When i call another phone with the EX90 it says System Message: Local IP address and the unit either freezes or reboots, most of the time it freezes.

hi Stefan,
when this was reported the software version was a different one and the bug was fixed in later releases.
please confirm the software version of the device if its an old one upgrade to TC6.2.
and monitor if you are still getting the issue.

Ravi kr.
