Read here
It doesn't mention it, but also webex edge audio and various of the Webex connectors also depend on the expressways.

Thank you.
What i am wanting to know is about expressway core functions.
If within an organisation Lan a user is joining a meeting room (eg.cms-meeting-room-1111.com) via laptop, does this request first go to expressway or does it go to cms server?

you can check in the expressway option keys how many RMS license you have . try b2b calls to test the RMS license . you can use cisco b2b call tester.

hi
Not necessarily going to expressway-c but Cisco Expressway has the capability of routing calls, among other things, based on the SIP variant detected. Specifically, it can distinguish between Microsoft SIP calls and standards-based SIP calls, such as those originating from Unified CM and Jabber.
you cab route calls using cucm also with sip route pattern.
