Google Chromecast Support for MX800

Hi All,

I have received an interesting requirement from one of our customer.

They want to use Google Chromecast with Cisco MX-800 Dual Screen.

Is that supported ? Has anyone checked or already using same !!

No, Google Chromecast isn't supported, MX700 & MX800 Data Sheet.

What is the use case?

They can most likely use Cisco Proximity depending on their needs, which works with any endpoint that is capable of running CE8 software, such as the MX800.

They are using Google Chromebook for sharing content during their meetings, and proximity is not available for google chromebook I guess.

So Chromecaset device can be connected to MX800 using HDMI port and can be use to share content from google chromebook on MX800.
