Hi all,

Im having some major issues getting my isdn link and c40 to pair.

ISDN link has an IP and on the same subnet as the codec

ISDN link is on the latest firmware

Current wiring is network-ISDN link, ISDN link-LAN port 1 on c40

Have checked through all IP details on both units everything is correct

ISDN link

10.92.45.22

10.92.45.210

255.255.255.0

C40

10.92.45.21

10.92.45.210

255.255.255.0

ISDN link just wont show when searching for in the Codec c20 Web GUI

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Kristian.

1) Log onto ISDN link,

2) Run the command "xcommand PairRestart confirm: yes"

3) See if the ISDN link shows up in the C40.

If that does not solve your issue, try to

1) Make sure ISDN link run 1.1

2) Make sure my C40 run TC6.x++

3) Factory reset of ISDN link

4) Then try to pair trough GUI.

The ISDN link should show up in the C40 pairing "out-of-the-box" with no configuration necessary.

Hi Kristian.

are you able to solve your issue?

I'm in the same situation; I double check every step on documentation and forum and try different C40 firmware (6.x and 7.x) with the same results.

Thanks,

Stefano

Hi mate

It ended up being a corrupt back up on my c40 unit had to do a hard to do a factory restore after trying everything!! U can mail me on kristian.sim@hotmail.com

One thing I found was that IPv6 needed to be enabled on both the Codec and the ISDNLink for it to pair when running TC7.0.x / IL1.1.0.

This is mentioned briefly in the Gateway Interoperability section of the TC7 release notes: "Pairing TC codec with ISDN Link requires an IPv6 address (link local). If IPv6 is disabled, pairing will fail."

Thank to all for the quick reply.

Enabling IPv6 on both codec and ISDN Link solve my issue; this is necessary also on TC6.3.

Thank you again,

Stefano
