Issue with calls from CUCM to MCU via VCS

Hi All

For some reason we have suddenly come into an issue whereby VC Endpoints registered to our CUCM cannot call the MCU.

They get to the auto attendant page and we can see the menu and put in the code for a conference, but as soon as we put in the code the call hangs up.

The CUCM has a SIP trunk to the VCS and the VCS has a trunk to the MCU.

Endpoints registered to the VCS server still seem to work.

The logs on the MCU show the below

Re: Issue with calls from CUCM to MCU via VCS

First question is why this is using H.323. Is the MCU dual-registered with SIP? If yes, look at VCS configuration (eg call Search History, Transforms, and Search Rules) to figure out why the call is being interworked to H.323 instead of matching the SIP URI directly. That intercepting shouldn’t be necessary.

Second observation is the very low resolution: CIF, not even 4CIF! Is that expected? If not, is CUCM Region/Location configured correctly to allow sufficient bandwidth?

Re: Issue with calls from CUCM to MCU via VCS

Hi

The MCU is using H323 and SIP

We have ran some packet captures from an endpoint registered to CUCM, we can see that the Call manager sends an invite from the MCU to the endpoint, the MCU then sends a SIP Bye to the endpoint.

Where would this config issue be, on the MCU, VCS or CUCM?

Cheers
