Jabber (Ipad) Registration on CUCM 8.5 & 9.1

Hi, Cisco Support Community,

I'm trying to register Jabber for iPad in CUCM 8.5.

This is the document I'm using

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/jabber/iPad/Admin_doc/output/b_Jabber_for_iPad_admin_guide.pdf

I upgrade Install the cop files, and I have the option in the CUCM.

Observation:I couldn't  restart Tomcat using this command  "utils service restart Cisco Tomcat"

I restart the CUCM from Cisco Unified OS Administration->Settings->Version->Restart instead.

I create a SIP profile.

Time Register Delta.PNGtimes.PNG

I didn't create Dial Rules. I thought it was not necessary yet (but maybe someone could tell me if this is necessary and help me to do it)

Then I add user device

configdevice.PNG

configdevice2.PNG

Device3.PNG

Configuration DN

DN.PNG

Create a end user and associate

EndUser.PNG

I try to register from jabber I have this picture.

The iPad has an ip 10.60.0.X /24

The iPad is in the same network (I can ping from the Ipad to server)

No VPN

I tried to do the steps of the document many times.

I hope someone could help me

Thanks in advance.

Hello, All!

I have a same problem, CUCM 9.1 and Jubber for iPAD 9.3.

Jubber for Windows works ok.

Dial rules are not required for registration.

I noticed a blank DIGEST Password in your End User configuration. Please populate that field as well as the Primary Extension with your DN. Also ensure the user is a member of the Standard CCM End Users group.

The DIGEST Password will be embedded in the XML config file (clear text) by default so you don't need to remember it. I typically use a random value generator.

Please remember to rate helpful responses and identify helpful or correct answers.

Hello, Jonathan!

I made corrections, it does not help. Also i try to disable digest auth, but still get same error.

Jonathan,

Thanks for your reply

I wanted to confirm if it refers to the ¨Digest Credentials ¨

Also configured a CUCM 9.1 with the same results, the only difference is that you no longer need the cop files.
