Jabber Video user cannot receive audio and video

Hello:

I am working with a user that has installed the free Jabber Video client on their PC laptop. According to a speed test, the workstation's Internet download speed is approximately 17 Mbps. The upload speed is 0.43 Mbps.

The user is unable to see my audio or hear my video when we connect on a Jabber Video call. However, I can see and hear the user on my end of the call. We also established a Jabber video call using a different computer on my end. The same issue occured; I could see and hear the user but the user could not see or hear me.

We were able to successfully establish a Skype call; we were both able to see and hear each other.

Could the issue be related to the user's low upload speed?

No, the isssue not related to the upload speed, sounds more like a firewall issue, however, if you are using "enterprise" JabberVideo version 4.4 or earlier and provisioning ICE, then either upgrade to 4.5 or turn off ICE.

See this document

re firewall ports for "free" JabberVideo.
