Understand that MCU5300 series offer scalability option for more connection but i;m confused on the LIC-5300-4PL portion
For every 1 quantity of LIC-5300-4PL, it comes 1 Full HD / 2 HD / 4 SD ports./ 8nHD.
like say; if i have more than 5 connections, do i need to purchase 1 or 2 license for that?
irregardless of the quality.
Can someone advise on me that?

Hi Jian,
Yes, you are correct.
1 Quantity of LIC-5300-4PL means 1 Full HD( 1080p) / 2 HD (720p) / 4 SD ( 576p)/ 8 nHD ( CIF)
So, Depending upon the endpoints , you have. Lets say you have only 1 HD endpoints , so according to your requirements.
If you have 5 HD Endpoints you can go for 2 Licenses. Similarly, you can manipulate and proceed.
I would also suggest to contact Cisco Pre-Sales for better understanding and preparing Bill of Material to match your needs.

Hi Saurabh,
If I have 1 Quantity of LIC-5300-4PL means 1 Full HD( 1080p) / 2 HD (720p) / 4 SD ( 576p)/ 8 nHD ( CIF).
Can I use for 4 endpoints: 1 fullHD, 1 HD and 2 SD ?
Thanks you very much,
Hieu

Hi Hieu
You must select work mode for video port on your MCU (FullHD/HD/SD/nHD)
If you select SD mode than you can use your 4 endpoints in SD mode.
For HD mode and 4 edpoints you need have 2 Lic-5300-4PL
For change port mode MCU must restart
Mix is not aplicable

Hi Oleksandr,
Thanks for your answer..
In datasheet of MCU-5320 say that: "LIC-5300-4PL: 1 Full HD/2 HD/4 SD/8 nHD ports on MCU 5320 (max of 10 with this option (6 used for nHD)) "
In this case, can I use 6 for nHD + 1 or 2 port for HD ?
Thanks & best regards,
Hieu

Hieu,
Info in datasheet mean next:
For HD mode you can use max quantity 10 LIC-5300-4PL and receive 20HD endpoints.
For nHD mode you can use max quantity 6 LIC-5300-4PL and receive 48nHD endpoints.

Hi Oleksandr,
Thanks for your replies.
Now, I understand it is not possible to mix and no flexible as I expected
Thanks & best regards,
