Muffled Audio from C60 when dsp resources fed from external Virtual TPS

Hi Team,

Trust You are doing great,

One of the C60s out of 6 others in our network is experiencing a problem not experienced by other C60s,

It works fine when part of a conference fed by a codian device as an external dsp resource, however , when a virtual TPS is made the source of providing the conference resources (DSP streams) , the audio output from this C60 is significantly muffled and the experience is sub optimal,

 

It is currently running on TC7.3.6.ea51021

as a triage to resolve this the following has been done:

1.Auto echo cancellation is enabled on the resource, echo cancellation and de-reverberation is also enabled on this C60, rebooting does not help either

No go

2. received energy levels in the audio section of end point statistics (this C60) when in conference are okay, there is no concerns of jitter or delay or packet loss, SShed into the codec and issued the following:

 

sys-ttpar set-litr

audio/configuration/Ecreferencedelay[]Mode[1]fixed

sys-ttpar set-int

audio/configuration/ecreferencedelay[1]/delay[1]0

No resolution.

Kindly advise how should I approach this issue in order to resolve, it is only one C60 having this issue, even this unit works fine when fed from a codian, the problem starts when we make a vTPS a resource.

Have you looked at the log files on your C60 for each of the calls to determine what differences there are in the call setup and/or capsets being utilised for each of the calls?

If the audio is getting significantly muffled, this can often be the echo cancellation.

Often when an end user "can't hear it", the turn the volume up - this makes the problem worse.

We suggest to our end users when this happens, to turn the volume down to zero, then slowly turn it back up again.
