Multiway breaks calls between codecs running CE8.1 and TX1310 immersive systems

Symptom: Calls between an MX300 G2 running CE8.1 and several different TX1310 immersive units would not setup. Conference Control Center showed 'Dialing' but no connection took place.

Solution: Disabling multi-way on the MX300 G2 allowed calls to build properly.

This test is accurate and was reproduced with two distinct TX1310 units.

Architecture:

  • TX1310s are registered to a dedicated telepresence CUCM.
  • MX & SX systems are registered to a VCSC. VCSC connects to CUCM with SIP Trunk.

This would appear to be a bug. TAC, can we pursue this please?

As this is a public forum, if you want Cisco to investigate an issue you found and fix a possible bug, you should open a case with TAC directly.  This can be done through the forums on the right side of the page under Actions, or from Cisco.com/suppport.

I do have a case open and I reported it there as well. In the interest of letting people who might also run into this problem and happen to search the forum (like I did) I wanted to share with the community.

Quick update: after further testing we found today that enabling Multiway also  breaking all calls from telepresence systems to the PSTN. I'll report back as I find more information. TAC is still investigating this with me today
