Old Border Controller Kernel problem

Hi Cisco Support Community

Does any one know what the following error messages mean from a Tandberg classic border controller?

Oct 5 14:01:06 vale-bc syslogd 1.5.0: restart.

Oct 5 14:01:06 vale-bc root: Event="System   Start" Level=1 UTCTime=2012/10/05-14:01:06

Oct 5 14:01:06 vale-bc kernel: ERROR: Unable to   locate IOAPIC for GSI 8

Oct 5 14:01:06 vale-bc kernel: ERROR: Unable to   locate IOAPIC for GSI 13

Oct 5 14:01:06 vale-bc kernel: ERROR: Unable to   locate IOAPIC for GSI 6

Oct 5 14:01:06 vale-bc kernel: ERROR: Unable to   locate IOAPIC for GSI 4

Oct 5 14:01:06 vale-bc kernel: ERROR: Unable to   locate IOAPIC for GSI 3

could we maybe recover the border controller via root, software recovery or is the kernal error referencing a hardware failure.

Cheers

Dave

Kind regards,

Dharmmesh

Hi Dharmesh

thanks for providing this information, i have noticed that in the document on the pages you mention the document is talking about the VCS, the border controller in this instance is not a VCS, this is one of the Tandberg Classic border controllers before the VCS was developed, does the same procedure still apply?

Cheers

Dave
