ROOM 70 DUAL DISPLAY ISSUE

Running CISCO WEBEX Room 70 Dual G2 with Ce9.8.x firmware.

Problem is dual display input.

The Computer input one and the display is mirrored.  Is there a setting to extend display between the two monitors on the 70???

Want to show a video on one screen and content on another screen ...

The default behavior when *not* in a call is to show content sharing on both displays. To see local video you would need to toggle on Self View from the Touch 10 and then maximize it to fill a display.
The default view when in a call is exactly what you want: video on the primary display and shared content on the other. If that is not happening then it’s possible your call control platform or far-end endpoint are not using BFCP, instead sending content in the main video channel.

As you are only connecting a single computer via a single cable, there is only one video signal, so it won't be "extended" to both screens as you would get if you connected two monitors separately.

If you connected two content cables to your laptop/pc/etc to both the content inputs, then you could "extend" your device's display to the two different screens.

Wayne do you promise this still holds true for dual 70s and kit pros with two monitors attached? I have a pretty big project that being able to extend a desktop in local presentation mode is an integral part of the solution!

Thanks!

While it's not quite as seamless as extending your desktop to something that supports a large chunk of screen real-estate, you could do it as I described with the endpoints that support multiple content inputs and multiple displays.

You can locally have Content Input 1 appear on Display 1, and Content Input 2 appear on Display 2.

The "locally" bit is the important bit here - this will work fine when outside of a call, but within a call, only one of the content sources will be able to be transmitted to the far end.

Can you email a cabling diagram what the solution could look like with a dual 70 system ?

And what the configuration settings would look like ?
