these are the components of my environment:
Cisco TMS 15.3
Microsoft SQL Server 2012 with Management Studio
what i'm doing is setting up a Maintenance Plan on Mng Studio and testing backup\restore. I was able to configure very easly backup for TMS's databases:
tms_userportal
tmsng
tmspe
tmspe_vmr
After successfull backup i want to test restore procedure, I was not able to find out documentation about restoring procedure but i followed these steps (can you confirm is the correct one or provide a link for a Cisco certified procedure?):
- right click on every TMS dbs --> restore database
- under General settings: specifying Source and Destination parameters
- under Options: check "Close existing connection to destination database"
The procedure ends up without errors, and i'm able to login to TMS and see the configuration correctly restored. The only dubt is if this procedure is the corret one suggested by Cisco.
