SX20 vs SX20N mics

We're using XLR 3.5mm adapters to use standard AV mics with SX20 codecs.

(these ones here: http://www.avshop.ca/wire-amp-cable/adaptors-wire/avshop-cisco-sx20-to-external-microphone)

Recently they seemed to have stopped working, and we're trying to determine if it's a SX20 vs SX20N codec issue (a hardware change), or a TC7.x vs CE8.x software issue.

Does anyone here have any insight into this issue?  I don't recall seeing anything in the release notes that might apply here, but my memory isn't what it used to be.  :-)

There is no difference between the SX20 and SX20N, it's just a change in part number to simply ordering, as the hardware remains the same.

Do you know roughly when the microphones stopped working, as anything changed recently?

If you recently upgraded the endpoint software, try and swap back to the previous software image using the web interface under Maintenance > System Recovery > Software Recovery Swap.

If you have the TelePresence Table Microphone 20 that typically comes with the SX20, try testing with it.  Also, try and test the third-party microphones with something else other than the SX20.

The mic adapters stopped working with a new shipment of SX20 N codecs.  The new ones were also CE-based, where all the old ones are still TC based (non-N codecs).  Thus, why we're trying to determine where the fault lies.  There were no upgrades that made them fail, and the Mic-20's that come with the codecs still work just fine.

Just to follow up, Cisco has opened a Bug on this problem.
