SX20 with Dual Display- can the output be duplicated/ clone

Hi

I have an SX20 with dual display running s/w version TC7.3.3.

Two monitors are connected and i have set the configuration as below

Configuration > Video > Monitors = Dual

I get the far-end and self-view on the first monitor, and on the second will be presentation content

On changing

Configuration > Video > Monitors = Single

I get all- Far end , near end and presentation on the same screen

and then made the below changes as well

Configuration > Video > SelfviewDefault FullscreenMode > On

Configuration > Video > SelfviewDefault OnMonitorRole > Second

Configuration > Video > Output > HDMI 1 > MonitorRole =1

Configuration > Video > Output > HDMI 2 > MonitorRole =1

But situation still remains the same

Please help me in finding a solution, i need the screens to clone.

Regards

Biji

Okay, I think I understand

Okay, I think I understand what you're wanting now.

If the monitors are set to single, you'll see far-end, selfview, and presentation all shared on the same display.  However, if monitors are set to dual, you'll see far-end on one display, with selfview and presentation on another.  There is now way to just see the far-end on both displays without the possibility of selfview or presentation, either sharing the screen or taking an entire screen for itself if either are active.

Setting the Monitors to

Setting the Monitors to Single should put the same output on the two displays, you might have to set each output's MonitorRole to Single.

What do you want to appear on each of the two displays (ie: far-end, selfview, presentation)?

Yeah, there is always a

Yeah, there is always a chance that selfview or presentation could appear on the screen.  Selfview you can turn off,  but there is no way to completely remove the presentation from the screen when someone is sharing content.

Re: Okay, I think I understand

Selfview fullscreen mode might not be enabled.

  • TC software - Video SelfviewDefault FullscreenMode: On
  • CE software - Video Selfview Default FullscreenMode: On

Re: Okay, I think I understand

starting present for a second and stop presentation. after doing this it

Re: Okay, I think I understand

What exactly is it you're wanting selfview to do?

Re: Okay, I think I understand

I am working at state Video conferencing studio. Previously we are using
TANDBERG VC system with two TV(Monitor) and we change our system to CISCO
SX20. With old system, dual display is ok as soon system is start up, but
with cisco we have to do some setting and after that its ok. I am curious
about the settings whether we can set the setting permanently.

Re: Okay, I think I understand

Thanks for the clarification and extra info.  All of our endpoints are configured for dual display, try the following (which is what I use):

  • Video Monitors: Dual
  • Video Output Connector 1 MonitorRole: First
  • Video Output Connector 2 MonitorRole: Second
  • Video Selfview Default Mode: On
  • Video Selfview Default FullscreenMode: On
  • Video Selfview Default OnMonitorRole: Second

Above settings are for CE software, the settings for TC software are similar, difference are below:

  • Connector > HDMI
  • Selfview Default > SelfviewDefault
