We recently RMAed one of the cameras on the SX80 system for an unrelated problem (the camera picture was really red, no matter what we did). The speaker track system worked on the RMAed camera.
The new camera came in, and the picture is fine. But we are getting the error message "This camera is connected to an endpoint which does not support it. Please contact your system administrator to correct the situation." and speaker track is not working on that camera.
We noticed that the camera that was not RMAed had the same version as the codec, but the one that Cisco sent us has a newer firmware version. Also, it only registers that it is connected sometimes. The codec and Camera 2 are at version HC7.3.1.8, and Camera 1 (the one that was just sent by Cisco) is at HC7.3.3.
Would the difference in version cause the issue described? If so, how do we downgrade the firmware on Camera 1? Or, if we upgrade the firmware on the codec, will it propagate to the cameras? Also, we tried to upgrade the firmware on the codec to 8.3.4, but the codec would not upgrade. Do we need to upgrade that from the TMS?
We just need speaker track to work like it did before.
Codec: SX80
Device IOS image/Firmware version: HC7.3.1.8a4696f
Camera 2
Cisco Precision 60 Camera HC7.3.1.8a4696f
Camera 1
Software version HC7.3.3.c84180a

The fix involved upgrading the SX80 to TE7.3.6. The camera tracking worked properly after that.

Once you connect the camera to the SX80, it should automatically downgrade or upgrade the camera firmware to match that of the codec. If installing the camera into the SpeakerTrack 60, and the SX80 doesn't downgrade the camera firmware, you can try connecting the camera directly to the SX80 as seen on pg 11 of the Precision 60 and SpeakerTrack 60 User Guide.
I also recommend you upgrade to the latest software, currently CE9.3, but if for some reason you must stay on TC software, it's the latest release is TC7.3.12.

Did you ever resolve this?
