per the log, try turning outbound to off in the SIP profile config of the codec. let us know if it works

this was taken from the standard.rtf file you uploaded:

408812.77 SipReg W: Outbound is enabled, but it was not supported all the way to the registrar. Stopping registrations.

Hi,

Yes. In the past I registered a couple of C20 in CUCM 7.x. You can give a try following this document to register your C40.

https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-26382

Hope to help, please remember to rate the post if it does.

Regards!

Any idea?

HI fsanchez.  I know this may response may be old, and not sure if you got your VCS installed already, but what you can do here is add as 3rd party SIP device on CUCM. Create the account in CUCM and use that username and password on the C40 itself.

On the C40, if your running TC5 or later, on the SIP Configuration page, change the type under profile 1 to CISCO.

If this doesn't work, would be best to get log output from C40.

1)SSH into system.

2)Capture output to text file.

3)Run the following on session - xcon, xstat, log ctx sippacket debug 9, log output on

4)Change the profile to cisco to see if this will force the C40 to try and register again.

5)If the failure occurs, turn off the logging by - log output off, log ctx sippacket debug 0

6)Send in the log.  (if you want to).

This may give us a hint to see whats happening.

The information above, seems the C40 is returning 403 Forbidden as it can't authenticate.  So maybe creating the device as 3rd party SIP, adding the digst user that you created, putting those credentials on to the C40 and changing the mode to cisco will alleviate this.

Let us know.

Thanks in advance.

You must set he sip type to Cisco and create a digest user in cucm for he c40 since its a 3rd party sip device.

Hi Patrick, sorry for answer late, I'm still not able to register C40 to CUCM 7, I attach the output of logs and information that you ask me.

Thanks

You right... I disable Outbound option in Sip Profile 1 and now is registered in CUCM.

Thanks a lot.
