TC7 presentation question

Hi-

I understand in TC7 there was a change made to how the codec reacts when a presentation source is removed.

From the release notes:

Presentation will stop when presentation source is disconnected
If a presentation source is disconnected or goes into standby (e.g. a PC), the presentation will
automatically be ended after 10 seconds. If the source is connected or comes out of standby within 10
seconds, the presentation will automatically be resumed.

This works against us in our workflow (mainly TCS recordings).   Is there a setting that preserves the old TC6 behavior?   Or perhaps a way to extend the 10 seconds to 60 or 120?

Thanks
Dan

I think the setting you're looking for is xConfiguration Video Input Source [1..3] PresentationSelection

Define how the video system will behave when a presentation source is connected to the video
input. In general, any input source can be used as a presentation source; normally, the main camera
(self-view) will not be used as a presentation source. Note that sharing the presentation with the
far end always requires additional action (tap Start Presenting on the Touch controller, or press the
Presentation key on the remote control).

Requires user role: ADMIN

Value space: <Manual/Automatic/OnConnect/Hidden>

Manual: In manual mode (default value), the contents of the input source will not be presented
on the screen until you select it. Use either the remote control or the Touch controller to choose
which input source to present.

Automatic: In automatic mode, the content on the input source will be presented on screen
automatically. If more than one source is set to Automatic, the last connected source will be used.
If any content was active (presented) when the call was disconnected, the content will still be
displayed locally.

OnConnect: When in on-connect mode, the content on the input source will be presented on
screen when a cable is connected. Otherwise, the behavior is like when in manual mode.

Hidden: In hidden mode, the contents of the input source do not appear in the graphical user
interface.

Example: xConfiguration Video Input Source 1 PresentationSelection: Manual

Your solution would theoretically solve the problem. However it doesn't. You still have to tap the "Start Presenting" button on the touch control or press the Presentation key on the remote control. I tested it on an SX20, a C60 codec and a C90 codec and it's all the same.

As user "dagerson" suggested, it would be the easiest way to just extend the time-out timer to 60, 120 or 180 seconds (instead of 10 seconds). Or is there another workaround?
