TCS Video Recording server integration with SX80 & VCS-C

Hi All,

We need your kind help to get best practice and scenario for deploy these components   .
.
1 - Three SX 80  with multisite capability .
2 - VCS-C with 10 Add Non-traversal Network Calls .
3 - TCS with  10 recording ports and 2 Live ports .

all SX 80 endpoints will register with VCS-C server  to control calls .

now while we need to record the video call between two SX80 endpoints ( A &B )  . will we have two separate streams one from SX80 A  to TCS server and other stream from SX80 B to TCS server .  or we will need only one stream from any SX80 endpoint .

Also we need to know how we add SX80 endpoint to TCS server  and in this scenario will we need to add TCS to VCS-C server  and how if yes ?

Please provide us with all docs that we will need during this deployment .

Thanks
Remon

You will only have one connection from SX80 to the TCS, the SX80 with multisite will handle the audio and video sent to the TCS. The TCS basically acts as a passive endpoint in the call, it will take in any audio, video, and content sent to it just like any endpoint would, and records it all.

You need to setup the TCS to register to the VCS just like your SX80's do. When you want to record a call, that's where your multisite option comes in, so lets say SX80 A calls SX80 B and they decide to record the call, if SX80 A has multisite they just have to call one of the recording aliases they've defined when setting up the TCS. Once connected they'll see a countdown timer and they'll be recording in seconds. To stop recording just drop the call.

The admin doc tells you everything you need to know about setting up the device.

To register the TCS to a VCS, configure either the H323 and/or SIP settings under Configuration > Site Settings within the Management tab. Once you have the TCS registered to your VCS, before you can start recording video conferences, you'll need to configure the items under the Recording Setup tab. Refer to the TCS Admin Guide that matches your software version on how to configure the TCS.

To register the SX80 to a VCS, configure either the H323 and/or SIP settings, refer to the SX Series Admin Guide that matches your software version. Once you have the SX80 registered to your VCS, and assuming you have your TCS registered and configured properly with recording aliases, you should be able to connect to any of the recording aliases to start recording your Multisite conference.

Hi Patrick
Thanks for your kind help and attention ,Please provide us with the docs that we will need for VCS-C server configuration and register  SX80 and TCS server  to it .

Thanks In Advance
